Club Officials for 2010

It is my very great privilege to have been chosen as Captain of Leyland Golf Club for 2010.  I will endeavour to maintain the high standards set by previous captains.

I look forward to the year ahead, playing at Leyland with as many members as possible, representing the Club throughout the district and taking forward the friendly and welcoming reputation of Leyland Golf Club.

Having been involved in arranging social events within the Club over a number of years, I hope I can count on the continued support of you all at the functions we hope to put on in 2010.

Lady Captain and I have decided that this year our shared chosen charity will be Marie Curie Cancer Care, an organisation that provides care and support to those with terminal illnesses and their families.  We understand that they have offered support to many existing and former members of the Club.

Lady Captain and I have agreed that we will donate the proceeds from  fund raising activities to Marie Curie Cancer Care and special projects within Leyland Golf Club.  We shall seek your views on what these might be.

May I take this opportunity to thank you for all the messages of support I have received and I wish you all a very happy and successful year on and off the golf course.

Nev Crabtree, Captain

I am honoured and delighted to have been asked to represent Leyland Golf Club as Lady Captain for 2010. I am looking forward to the golfing season and the involvement with the associated club activities which will afford me the opportunity to meet with many of the members.

The Captain and I have decided that the Marie Curie Cancer Charity and special projects within the golf club will benefit from any fundraising activities during the year. There is a varied social diary which we hope will appeal to many of you and would encourage you to join us and have fun both on and off the course.

My best wishes to everyone for the year ahead.

Brenda Ward,  Lady Captain

I am looking forward to taking up the post of Club President for the year 2010 and will endeavour to carry out the duties pertinent to that position to the best of my ability.

I wish the Captain, Lady Captain and Junior Captain a successful year and I will co-operate with them, when required, in achieving their goals for their year in office.

I thank you for your good wishes and in turn wish all the members of Leyland Golf Club a happy and healthy 2010.

It’s an honour and a privilege to be chosen to represent the section as Junior Captain for 2010.

I am thoroughly looking forward to working with all areas of the Junior Section and it’s my ambition to encourage juniors of all ages to strive to perform to the best of their ability. I am looking forward to working with a talented junior team and building on last years successes which saw us become winners of the Finals Day Trophy.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish the Captain, Lady Captain, President and everyone at the golf club good luck for the year ahead.

Jonathan Croft, Junior Captain
